Superintendent’s Coffee Chat Date Change

In Patriot Time, the students continued on Wonder and completed activities and discussion about bystanders and the role of bystanders, especially when others are being unkind. Students also participated in an auction block activity that focused on goals, their importance, and how we put our energy into the things that we value. The activities showed how goal setting gives direction to your life and that your values can change over time, which causes you to adjust your goals. You can check with your child to see what they bid on in the auction and what they learned through the reflection questions. This week, the Patriot Time classes talked about gratitude and each class developed a way to show gratitude within our community. Some of the activities were; holiday cards to various organizations, veterans, and nursing homes, “Merry Mugs” to be given to store greeters and Salvation Army Bell ringers throughout Howell, care packages for soldiers, ceramic ornaments for support staff members and many others. Drop Off
Lately we have had a few close calls of cars or students being injured in the student drop off area. It is very important that we all follow the procedures to keep everyone safe. If you park to drop off your student you must escort them to the sidewalk. If you drop off in the drop off lane, you may use the entire length of the drop off zone to drop off your student.
