General Information

Mrs. Sheffer is available from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm for all your library and Chromebook needs. Feel free to visit the Media Center to check out a loaner Chromebook, assistance with Chromebook questions/repairs, find a book, help with research, print a school related document, or answer any other questions you might have. During class time you must have a pass from your teacher to visit the Media Center. The direct number to the Media Center is (517)234-6301 ext. 87105.
 

Help, something is wrong with my Chromebook!

Keep in mind the Chromebook issued to you is Howell Public Schools property. Similar to a text book but more expensive and breakable. It is your responsibility to treat your Chromebook carefully. If your Chromebook is not functioning well or if there is any physical damage students are required to turn in the Chromebook to the Media Center for repair. Students are given a loaner Chromebook while the issued Chromebook is being repaired. New fees for Chromebook repairs are as follows:

Repair & Replacement Fee Payments

The District will regularly run reports of fees owed by students for repair/replacement costs. Students and parents will be notified upon assignment of fee, and the district reserves the right to withhold privileges (i.e. tickets to student events, participation in graduation proceedings, yearbook distribution, field trips, etc.) if fees remain unpaid. Fees will be able to be paid in the main office. Please make checks payable to: Howell Public Schools.  Payments can be sent to the school office, media center or the Technology Department.





When is your book is
due?

  Book checkouts are for 2 weeks. A few days before your book is due you will receive and email from Mrs. Sheffer. You can bring your book into the library to return or renew your book. We also have a red book drop off box upstairs near C hallway. You can also renew your book by emailing Mrs. Sheffer at [email protected]. Late books are subject to a $0.05/day late fee.


Looking for a good book?
  You can hold a book by logging into the Parker Media Center tab on this site, then click catalog search. Log in  with your school email and ID. Search the catalog for the book you would like to check out. Click on the "hold it" button. Your book will be held for you in the Media Center. You can also us the link below and it will take you to the log in page.
