Parker Press fo 5/15/20

Dear Parker Families,

I hope that this email finds you and your family well.  The challenges that we are all facing are new and overwhelming at times.  You have been in our thoughts.  As we wind down the school year we have a few updates that will be coming your way.  If you prefer to watch my video covering the topics please click here: Poelke Video.

Student Belonging Pick Up

We are planning to distribute student belongings on June 1st.  The details of the plan will come out on my communication next Friday, May 22nd.

Honors Awards

Typically the last week of school we honor students who have earned a 4.0 GPA for the year and High Honors.  High Honors includes students with a 3.5-3.9 GPA for the first two quarters.  Third quarter and the virtual learning will not be factored into the awards.  The administration and team of teachers will be recording a virtual awards ceremony in the coming weeks.  It will be released to families the week of June 1st.  Attached is the list of all students being honored: Award Recipients.  If you feel that your student should be honored, please check this list.  If you believe there is an error please contact Mrs. Yule at [email protected].

Grading Timeline

You received an emailed progress report from your student’s core team of teachers a couple weeks ago.  That progress report was where your child’s grade was at that moment and is not the final grade.  Please remember that school is still in session and lessons and assignments are still being virtually distributed weekly.  Below I have attached the timeline for grading again for your reference.

  • The last day to turn in work to teachers is Monday, June 1st.
  •  A Google Form to OPT IN to a letter grade for a particular class will be sent to families on Tuesday, June 2nd.
  •  The Google Form to OPT IN to a letter grade is due by Thursday, June 4th.
  •  Report Cards will be mailed home on June 11th along with summer packet information.

If you need any support, please reach out to the teachers, counselors, or administrators.

Take care,

Mrs. Poelke
