MSTEP Testing
It is that time of year again for our state of Michigan academic assessments. 8th graders will begin testing on April 10th. There will be four testing dates: April 10, 11, 17, and 18. In order for students to learn and function at their highest potential it is important that they have a good night’s rest and eat a quality breakfast. While this is true everyday, it is especially true during testing as they will be asked to focus on tests longer than usual. Your supportive and positive words about the testing go a long way. We use achievement data to build our school improvement plans, create focuses for the following year, and continue to work to provide support for all of our students.
End of 3rd Quarter
When we return from Spring Break on April 3rd we will only have four days until Quarter 3 ends on April 6th. This is a great time for students to get caught up in their classes and missing assignments. We are in the home stretch!
Upcoming Field Trips
7th graders will be attending a field trip at MSU on April 10th and 11th. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to be on a college campus, learn about college life, discover more opportunities, and learn about what students can do now to prepare for college. 6th graders will be attending the Henry Ford Museum on April 18th. Thank you to our PTO for helping us fund some of the bus expenses for these field trips.
